Garrett Royer

Garrett Royer is the Development Manager for One Colorado. Garrett first started as the Denver Metro Field Organizer, working to achieve One Colorado’s goals for Jefferson, Adams and Arapahoe Counties. He works to build diverse coalitions between the LGBTQ community and allied groups in the region, coordinates grassroots efforts and works with local leaders and organizations throughout the diverse and growing Denver Metro area.

Garrett was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and has spent most of his life in the state of Colorado. He attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where his interest in political activism first began. In 2012, during his sophomore year of college, he interned for Organizing for America and was later hired as a Field Organizer and built grassroots networks in the Littleton area. As a UNC student, Garrett ran for a student government position and was later appointed to organize student body elections during his senior year of college.

Following his graduation from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, Garrett briefly interned in Governor John Hickenlooper’s office of Correspondence before he was hired as a Political Coordinator for the Governor’s reelection campaign. He was tasked with building grassroots support within the LGBTQ and Conservationist communities across the state and oversaw the volunteer efforts of the Governor’s 2014 campaign. Before he was hired by One Colorado, Garrett also worked with the campaign to reelect Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock focusing on volunteer organizing in southwest Denver.
