Prior to joining the One Colorado team, Matthew worked on political campaigns, non-profits, and local government. During the 2020 election, Matthew was a Regional Organizer at New Era Colorado and No On 115 where he worked to protect access to abortion in Colorado and empower young voters. He also worked at Neighbor to Neighbor and Larimer County.

Matthew was raised in Loveland, CO. He earned his BA in US Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. He is deeply passionate about empowering people who are often intentionally excluded from political processes. He also believes that equity and inclusive movement building must be at the core of political organizing.

Matthew is a big Star Wars fan and celebrates May the Fourth every year. He identifies as LGBTQ.
