Michael Crews


Michael Crews is the Policy Director for One Colorado. Prior to joining the One Colorado team in November 2019, Michael worked for the City of Aurora within the Office of the City Manager, coordinating the diverse intergovernmental affairs needs of Colorado’s third-largest city. Michael’s career in government began as a summer intern working for Colorado Lt. Governor Joe Garcia in 2015 and then as a fall intern for Governor Hickenlooper.

At the completion of his fall internship with the Governor’s Office and a simultaneous internship with Strategies 360, he was offered a permanent role within the Hickenlooper administration. Over the next three years, Michael held several positions within the administration, which included working for the Office of Legal Counsel, Office of Boards & Commissions, and the Office of Community Partnerships on special projects. His final role in the administration was as the Director of the Office of Constituent Services. In this position, he led a statewide team focused on ensuring Coloradans had access to an open and transparent state government.

Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, cooking, long drives on Colorado beautiful canyon roads, and any classics concert by the Colorado Symphony.
