Mikayla Perry is the Development and Communications Manager for One Colorado.
Prior to joining the team at One Colorado in September 2019, Mikayla was the Development Coordinator for Aging Resources of Douglas County, a nonprofit helping older people stay independent and age with dignity. Her career in the nonprofit sector began with her service in the Peace Corps as a Health and Water Sanitation Volunteer in northern Ghana. The experience ignited a passion for developing and executing projects aimed at improving the wellbeing of disadvantaged communities. Shortly upon her return to the United States, Mikayla served an additional year as an AmeriCorps member in Colorado.
Mikayla graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Media Studies and an emphasis in Film and Video Production. She used her degree to work as a Production and Camera Assistant in the film industry for several years before transitioning to a career in nonprofit development.
Out of the office, you can find Mikayla at Red Rocks concerts, competing in the Denver Gay and Lesbian Flag Football League, and backpacking with her wife, Marci, and dog, Piper.
