One Colorado stands in solidarity with Representative Leslie Herod and recognizes the significance of the decision made in the courts earlier this week. One Colorado's Executive Director Nadine Bridges, MSW (she, her, hers) released the following statement:

"It is essential that we support and validate individuals who bravely step forward with allegations of sexual harassment and we must create environments where survivors feel empowered to speak out and seek action. It is also crucial to address the troubling trend of anti-blackness that has moved through many of our sectors leading to the unfair targeting and demonization of Black women in leadership roles nationwide without due process. These moments underscore the complexities of privilege, identity, power, and justice within our communities that must be examined. Let's open up dialogues on misogynoir, firmly support survivors, and foster spaces where our communities are treated with the utmost dignity and respect."
